FIRE BAN LIFTED – 27TH AUGUST 2026
The Fire Severity Index map published by the Met Office in conjunction with Natural England, has this morning reduced the risk in our area to Low.
As such we have now removed our fire ban. Hot tubs, fire pits and BBQs can now be used again.
Whilst it is now much cooler and there has been some rain, the ground surrounding the site is very dry indeed.
It is essential that the utmost care is taken when using naked flames.
Please ensure all fires are monitored constantly and extinguished fully when no longer being monitored.

Booking Information – What to Know Before You Stay
END OF JULY 2026 – ON ADVICE FROM ESSEX FIRE SERVICE, CURRENTLY WE CANNOT ALLOW GUESTS TO USE THE LOG FIRED HOT TUBS, FIRE PITS OR BBQS DUE TO FIRE RISK, OR TO HAVE ANY NAKED FLAMES ON SITE. WE WILL MONITOR CONDITIONS AND BRING THESE BACK IN TO USE WHEN CONDITIONS IMPROVE – THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.
Please note that we do not offer arrivals for cottages, glamping or camping on Saturdays or Sundays. However, you’re welcome to book a stay that includes a Saturday or Sunday – for example, arriving on Friday and departing on Monday is absolutely fine.
A minimum 2 night stay applies to all cottage bookings throughout the year.
